As a kid, there was a time when I got spanked every day. One day, I determined not to do anything to irritate my mom and get spanked. Things went o.k. in the morning, but then something happened and I blew it. I don’t remember what I did now, but I know that I had it coming when I did it. Well, you get the picture.
Do you try to please people so that you don’t “get in trouble?” Do you worry that you won’t be accepted if you were honest about whom you really are? If so, you may be a people pleaser. That usually never works out well in the end. Being overly concerned with what other people think of you is a manipulative and crippling attitude. Start taking steps today to be honest with others. It might not be as bad as you think. Comment here.
