Civilized Societies Think of Others

by

When a baby is born into this world, his only concern is himself. He wants his food NOW, and someone better give it to him or he will cry. As the baby gets older, the crying gets louder and degenerates into yelling and a tantrum on the floor, unless he is taught better behavior. All along, kids have to be taught to think of others. If we grow up into adulthood and have never been so taught, then we go about only looking out for “No. 1”. When adults think of others instead of No. 1, we all get along much better. This is a good thing to remember, especially with regards to bringing up children. It seems that parents nowadays spend less and less time with their kids as they grow up – without parents teaching kids to put others first, our society is going to continue growing more self-centric.
