What’s In Your Bucket?

by

Have you ever noticed when things go bad how easy it is to focus on only the negative aspect of your situation? Even though we really have much to be thankful for, we tend to hyper focus the bad things that happen instead. In some ways, we are a lot like buckets. If I dwell on the things that go bad, the disappointments of life or on nursing grudges against those who have wronged me, then I hold or add those things in my “bucket”. When I need to pour out my bucket to those around me, guess what will come out? Nothing good, that’s for sure. Besides the things we kept from our upbringing, we are the sum of what we add to our life.

How about focusing on the blessings you have or the good things that happen to you instead? Soon, you’ll have a bucket full of happiness that will refresh not only yourself but also those around you. Comment here.
