Speak No Evil

by

How do you talk to your spouse? How would you like to be talked to? I have found, but not mastered, that speaking to your spouse in a way that builds them up always works the best. The opposite of this is to speak to them in ways that tear them down. This will always hurt your significant other and your relationship in deeper ways than you might think. When you are in a heated discussion, this concept can be very difficult to remember. The next time you find yourself toe to toe with the one you love, try taking a step back, a couple of deep breaths, and remember to speak in ways that will bless them, not crush them. Both you and your spouse will appreciate it in the long run. Comment here.

God’s Word is very clear, and that if follow God’s rules, and humble ourselves, (put our prideful feeling away) and speak loving, kind and words of edification, (Eph. 4:26-27, 31-32; Col. 3:12-17) God will give us the answers and the peace no matter the situation.
