As I followed the oil spill disaster in the Gulf of Mexico, I read there were warning signs to the drillers indicating that something was not right. One expert stated that oil pressure readings will reveal problems before a “blowout” occurs. Obviously, the readings indicated trouble, but no one heeded the warnings. If you follow these same standards with your personal and household income, trouble will not be far behind. If you see indicators that you have a problem in your household with your income, budget or spending, please don’t wait until a “blowout” occurs before you seek help.
