Ah, summertime. The sun shines, things grow, and fruit is plentiful at roadside stands. It’s a great time for lemonade, watermelon, grilling, camping, water recreation and vacationing! During one vacation, my older brother was driving us from Oakland to San Diego, California to visit relatives. We got as far as Modesto when the engine overheated. It seemed as if we spent half a day waiting for the garage to pressure-flush the block and radiator before we were back on the road. If we had prepared the car properly, we’d have been spared the aggravation, time lost and an extra night in a motel. As important as it is to prepare for a vacation trip however, preparing for other things is even more important.
