Hometown and Current City

by

There is a section on some of the social network websites that allow members to record their “hometown” and “current city”. Obviously, the hometown is where they were born and the current city is where they now reside. The average distance between those two cities within the United States is four hundred and eighty seven miles. That’s a pretty big distance which indicates that many people have moved away from their hometowns and are now living far away from their roots. Maybe this is one of the reasons these social websites have grown to the size they are today. How far away are you from your hometown? Have you left your roots? This can be very difficult and lonely at times. Let us know your thoughts. Comment here.
