Who is the most important person in your home—you or your spouse? Whose needs and desires come first? Your love for your spouse should be so great that you always, and I mean always, think of their needs first. Oh, I know that’s not easy. We are not programmed that way. Society says you should put yourself first. You’ve heard the slogans: “You deserve a break today” or “Have it your way”. But this kind of attitude is not right. If your marriage is going to work, you need to love your spouse more than yourself. This means thinking of them daily, making sure that they know you’re thinking of them, and going out of your way to make sure you are meeting their needs. Do you know what your spouse’s needs are? This is a great place to start. Ask. This will let your spouse know how much you care. When both spouses seek to meet each other’s needs, everyone’s needs are met. Let the change in your marriage start with you today. Comment here.
