Be Good for Goodness Sake

by

Quite often, when my children leave the house I remind them to be good by saying “Remember who you are.” My kids know what I mean by this expression; Say “No” to drugs, don’t mess with alcohol and remain sexually pure. However, I would now like to take it a step further. Being good is also an action of reaching out to those who don’t deserve goodness and being good to them anyway. Defining goodness in this way takes the emphasis off of ourselves and focuses it on others. It’s a do unto others as you would have them do unto you thing. Remember who you are today.Comment here.
